The Matador was essentially an artillery tractor introduced by the Associated Equipment Company (AEC) during WWII. With a length of 20 ft 10 ins, width of 7ft 10 ins and a height of 9 ft 7 ins, the 4 x 4 Matador had an average speed of 30 mph.
After the War, the Matador proved a very useful vehicle in civilian life. Wynns purchased a dozen, using them as both tackle wagons and timber tractors. This model comes in the distinctive red Wynns livery as a flatbed wrecker with small canopy, complete with crane lift. Added detail includes a roof beacon and an intricately printed BHA logo on the side doors.
