Part of the West of Scotland Group, the company is an established heavy haulage company based in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, from where it specialises in all types of transport in the UK and Eire. Their service includes selecting the most suitable vehicle for their customers' needs, route planning, site surveys, permits and escorts - in other words, everything required to ensure fast and efficient trouble free movement of their clients' loads.
Founded in 1946 by brothers Alex and James Campbell, their first low loader was an ex-US Army 6 x 4 Mack and a single axle low loader, which they bought to move their own fleet of excavators. Sixty-five years on, the 21st century company fleet now includes DAF, Scania and Volvo tractor units, with some of the most modern trailers on the market. This investment enables the company to move loads of up to 400 tons. Amongst their key contracts today, you will see them transporting wind turbines, heavy plant machinery and equipment, as well as crane truck hire, specialist engineering and demolition and dismantling.
This West of Scotland corporate red and white liveried vehicle is typical of the type used by the company since the year 2000 .
